Modified R5s
R5 Laurence

R5 Laurence - Leaflet Model produced in France by the "Automobiles Laurence" company, founded in 1983.
This modification was intended to fill a market niche by transforming normal production models into prestige models, improving them in all respects.
To achive this, they made changes both to the interior style as wel as to the exterior. On the outside stood out the headlights and bumpers, inherited from the American model, personalized with a custom decorative band, as well as model-specific rims.
It was also applied a soundproof coating on the body panels. Inside, new carpets were applied and the dashboard was leather covered. The upholstery was also leather and the center console was modified to receive an "Alpine" stereo system. The model was equiped with a "Motolita" steering wheel and specific "Jaeger" instrumentation. An onboard computer was also available.
Later on, Renault followed this philosophy on its own models with versions like Baccara and Initiale.
